These came from small box and were in no way organized. Some duplicates are included.
In Memory of Dad
This is an evolving work in progress to celebrate the memory of Dad.
These are sorta random so far as the order is concerned…I did my best with them.
Next 60 or so, somewhat in order…not too sure of some.
The first 60 picture, somewhat roughly in the order they were taken.
The first set is from the Church service.
These are from a small box of Pictures The prizes here are the older pictures, especially the Black and White copies. Examine those for some interesting “Vintage” things like old TV sets, cars and toys. Some of the pictures look to be Mom’s family.
These pictures came from a box with no organization…just a bunch of pictures. The high-lights are: Pictures related to Stacy & Paul’s Wedding An exceptional picture of Dad in the service, likely at Fort Benning Mom & Dad with Fiends Pictures from a cruise Steve’s U.S. Army Picture Gallery 15
Notes from several Books: As I have journeyed thru the project of scanning all of these pictures and documents, a task not yet completed, one of the consistencies that has appeared time after time is the fact that in almost every picture Dad is smiling, evidence that he was one happy fellow loving life….. and […]
These pictures were taken from the album pictured below: This album is made up of 2 pictures on a page…the kind of page which has a sorta sticky surface. My usual instinct is to get the pictures out of such a page as it generally will cause damage over time, However, this needs […]
A note or 2 on the Norse: Sandy expressed some interest in the Norse connection so I thought I’d add some detail here since all of the data has not yet been added into the Family Tree. It is taking some time to flesh out the details due to overlap that exists with what has […]
While I was laid off for some 6 months, I rekindled my long time interest in family genealogy, an interest that I got from my Mother who started this in the 1930’s when she was a teenager. My Mother had an interest in becoming a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution which requires that […]
This book presented a few unusual challenges. The pictures were placed into one of those “stick-down” albums and supplemented by a lot of notes made by Mom. The pages were bound in a spiral binder that was broken from the binder itself. The spiral plastic was rotted and seriously discolored. I had to disassemble it […]
Continuing with the album….Again a lot of cute kids here. Some of these folks I could not identify…..
These pictures come from a near complete album of pictures. Some of the first scans were difficult to make and the plastic sleeves in which the pictures are stored is apparent. It was not possible to pull each of the pictures from the sleeves as some were stuck down. There are some really special pictures […]
The third and final part that was missed or lost some time back…. This also includes a variety of pictures unrelated to the vacation.
The morning of the last day…just a few pictures of the cleanup crew and the place all nice and clean.
That final evening we had a grand dinner all together. Took a lot of pictures there and some group pictures back at the Condo…..
Another fine day at the beach…a bit overcast. Some folks had gone home. Hanging around the the condo relaxing.
Some Beach but mostly hanging around the Condo….
Another fine day at the beach. Some of us go to the Boardwalk and ride the Ferris Wheel. Minor car accident and a Board game in the evening.
Another wonderful day at the beach…a Dolphin swims by to entertain us. A group goes to play Put-Put golf and there are some folks who do some fishing and sitting on the beach at night…
Another day at the Beach. Also a restaurant and especially…a Crab Feast at the Condo.
We had a big cookout at the Condo and we all went to the beach….
Well, This is too much fun to be omitted. While I was cleaning out some old backups I made on CD’s & DVD’s, I stumbled onto the pictures taken when the whole family went to Bethany for a week vacation together. These were not in Dad’s pictures but I just had to add it. The […]
This update comes from a random stack of pictures which contained many, many duplicates. For whatever reason, there were about 5 copies made of the first set of pictures which relate to a trip to the ocean or beach as well as a hot-air balloon ride. After these comes pictures from a trip Dad, Deb, […]
This is a short album with a small number of pictures from a trip to Cape Cod with Rusty, Pat and a couple whose names escape me at the moment…let me know who they are so I can update this… The album was kept intact. If you look carefully at the picture named dad_1252, you […]
This contains the balance of the pictures in the High-School Reunion binder. The content is somewhat mixed but the dates of the pictures all appear to be in the 1988-1992 range. Some of the memories here: A Thanksgiving in Ocean City, 1990 Christmas 1990 A Trip to Disney world, February 1991 An Ocean City Deep-Sea […]
This album consists of about 50% a trip to a High-School reunion for Mom and the balance of the trip home. The rest is a wide variety of pictures which might be of interest to all….details in the second part. Reunion Trip The Balance of the Album
This album was rather difficult to work from as it was put together using one of those “self-stick” type of album pages. Over time (and this was about 20+ years), the pictures had become seriously glues to the pages and were becoming discolored as a result. I’ve seen this before so I removed all the […]
The Second parts begins with a Wedding…. Part 3
